According to Variety, Peacock has canceled the sci-fi action spy thriller series Copenhagen Test. The series aired on the streamer on December 27 with all episodes and was recently canceled after one season.
As per Variety, the series was received mostly positively by critics, with the show holding a 71% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. According to Nielsen data, the show racked up 373 million minutes viewed for the week of Dec. 29-Jan. 4, enough to earn it the number 10 spot on the Nielsen top 10 streaming originals chart. It failed to reach the top 10 in any of the subsequent weeks.
According to Variety, the logline of the series is as follows: “first-generation Chinese-American intelligence analyst Alexander Hale, who realizes his brain has been hacked, giving the perpetrators access to everything he sees and hears. Caught between his shadowy agency and the unknown hackers, he must maintain a performance 24/7 to flush out who’s responsible and prove where his allegiance lies.”
As per Variety, the series as created by Thomas Brandon (Arts Therapy, Rumor of Angels) serve as writer, executive producer and showrunner. Cast of the series includes Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Gremlins: Secret of the Mogai), Melissa Barrera (Keep Breathing, All the World Is Sleeping), Sinclair Daniel (Insidious: The Red Door, Flashlight), Brian d’Arcy James (Pain Hustlers, Millers in Marriage), Mark O’Brien (Ready or Not, The Memory Keeper), Kathleen Chalfant (Where to Land, The Courtroom) Sara Amini (Universal Basic Guys, The Twilight Zone), Saul Rubinek (I Will Burry You, Terror Lake Drive), Christo Graham (e Summon the Darkness, Letters to Satan Claus), Christine Noble (Bad Behind Bars: Jodi Arias, Pretty Hard Cases), Adam Godley (The Great, The Umbrella Academy) and Adina Porter (American Horror Story, True Blood).
According to Variety, the series as created by Brandon serve as writer, executive producer and showrunner.
