Indiewire reports that Paul Giamatti will be a guest star on Downton Abbey season 4.
The PBS drama lost Dan Stevens last season. Fans were very disappointed and his exit left a big gap in the show. However, the announcement that Giamatti will be on Downton Abbey has got everyone talking.
TVLine reports that Paul Giamatti is joining the show, though his appearance is so far only set for one episode. Giamatti will not be seen until the final episode of season four, playing Harold Levinson, the brother of Cora (Elizabeth McGovern), and uncle to Mary (Michelle Dockery) and Edith (Laura Carmichael). Executive producer Gareth Neame describes the character as a “maverick, playboy” sibling, and his scenes with Shirley MacLaine will “upset the Grantham’s apple cart”.
It is possible that we will be seeing more of Giamatti’s character in season 5, though this cannot yet be confirmed.
