Netflix has unveiled the first trailer and poster for its upcoming Korean live-action series, Parasyte: The Grey, based on the popular sci-fi manga by Hitoshi Iwaaki. According to a previous mxdwn post, the live adaptation will be directed by Yeon Sang-ho (Train to Busan), and scripted by Ryu Yong-jae (The Hand). The live-action series will be filmed in Korea. According to Comicbook, Netflix teases on what to expect of the series such as,”when unidentified parasites violently take over human hosts and gain power, humanity must rise to combat the growing threat.”
The trailer opens up with several alien pods descending from the sky ,which set the stage for a world under invasion. It cuts to the parasites then possessing human hosts, and special forces are seen targeting the infected. We see Jeong Su-in confronted by two other possessed human, who question if she is one of them, but then combat them.

According to Comicbook, on the official Netflix X page release a poster for the upcoming series which depicts the main character, Jeong Su-in portrayed by Jeon So-nee (Ghostwalk), who is possessed by one of the parasite, but is able to be in control of her humanity. The series will surely incorporate some philosophical aspects. The release of the trailer and poster has generated significant buzz online, with fans expressing their anticipation for the series.
