The One Piece anime has impacted generations of anime lovers for decades. Eiichiro Oda’s (One Piece Film: Z, One Piece Film: Strong World) manga has created a large fanbase, which prompted Netflix to create a live-action of the anime last year. Fans have also been attentively following the journey of courageous Captain Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hats crew! Recently, another beloved animated series, Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, stumbled into the anime world, as many other animated shows have been doing lately. A recent example is Rick And Morty, which has just released an anime spinoff. The newest Paramount+ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series shared hilarious line dedicated to the One Piece anime in its most recent episode, Comicbook.com reports.
The clip shows two friends trying to disarm a bomb, and despite trying hard, the two can’t seem to work things out as the bomb’s countdown speeds up instead of shutting down. So, that forces the character to remember one of his biggest regrets. “This is how it ends,” the character exclaims via Comicbook.com. “There’s so much I didn’t do. I’ll never finish One Piece!” If anyone is interested in watching the clip, it is embedded in the X (formerly Twitter) post below.
According to Comicbook.com, the clip is truly relatable to fans of the famous anime, who weren’t able to conclude all 24+ seasons of One Piece. This anime has been on air for over 30 years, and for fans reading the manga in the first releases, it has truly been long time. However, Oda recently shared that he does have the conclusion of One Piece’s manga in development. Furthermore, according to Comicbook.com, Oda explained that the manga’s final saga has been released. So, it seems like the Straw Hat crew will conclude their action-filled adventures soon. If anyone is interested in catching up on the One Piece manga, it’s available to read on Viz Media’s Shonen Jump app. About the anime series, the official synopsis is available below:
“As a child, Monkey D. Luffy was inspired to become a pirate by listening to the tales of the buccaneer “Red-Haired” Shanks. But Luffy’s life changed when he accidentally ate the Gum-Gum Devil Fruit and gained the power to stretch like rubber…at the cost of never being able to swim again! Years later, still vowing to become the king of the pirates, Luffy sets out on his adventure…one guy alone in a rowboat, in search of the legendary “One Piece,” said to be the greatest treasure in the world…”
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series is available to stream on Paramount+, and the One Piece anime is available on Netflix, Hulu and Crunchyroll.
