Paramount+’s ‘iCarly’ Reboot To Premiere in June

The rebranded CBS All Access streaming service, Paramount+, is preparing its subscribers for the impending release and premiere of the Nickelodeon original comedy series iCarly. The reboot of iCarly is set for a 13 episode release on an unspecified date in June, according to Screen Rant. The series originally aired on Nickelodeon from 2007 to 2012 and the teen sitcom amassed a total of 97 episodes over the course of its six seasons. Created by Dan Schneider (Drake and Josh), the teen sitcom also produced a spinoff series entitled Sam & Cat which combined the worlds of iCarly and Victorious and their characters and style.

iCarly centered on the titular teen Carly Shay, portrayed by Miranda Cosgrove (Drake and Josh), producing an internet show for fans out of Seattle, Washington with her best friends, Sam Puckett, portrayed by Jennette McCurdy (Sam & Cat), and Freddie Benson, played by Nathan Kress (Star Wars Rebels). The comedic antics ensued on their web show in addition to their interactions with other students and Carly’s older brother who she lived with, Spencer Shay, played by Jerry Trainor (2 Broke Girls, T.U.F.F. Puppy). Additional cast included the fan-favorite Gibby, played by Noah Munck (The Goldbergs).

Announced in December 2020, the reboot will see Kress, Trainor, and Cosgrove return to their original roles while they will be joined by new additions in Jaidyn Triplett (The Affair) as Freddie’s stepdaughter Millicent and Laci Mosley (Florida Girls) as Carly’s roommate Harper.

Currently, there is no available trailer for the rebooted teen sitcom series nor an exact date provided by Paramount+.
