According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount+ renews drama series School Spirit for a fourth season. The renewal comes about three weeks after season three concluded. The third season ended with a 100% Tomatometer rating on Rotten Tomatoes. All three seasons are now streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S., Canada, UK, Australia, Latin America, and Brazil.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, School Spirit follows Maddie Nears, played by Peyton List (Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules), is a teenager stuck in afterlife limbo at her high school after being murdered, who investigates her own disappearance with the help of fellow ghosts and her living friends. The drama series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, joining List on the series is Kristian Ventura (Me Little Me, Gray Matter), Spencer MacPherson (The Way Home, Secrets at the Inn), Kiara Pichardo (A Ring for Christmas, The Unholy), Sarah Yarkin (Not Okay, Texas Chainsa Massacre), Nick Pugliese (Thank You for Being Here, A Denied Dream), Rainbow Wedell (Long Shadow, Tea Soldiers), Josh Zuckerman (Sex Drive, Surviving Christmas), Maria Dizzia (Above the Shadows, Orange Is the New Black), Ci Hang Ma (Falling in Love at Christmas, The Naughty Nine), Miles Elliot (A Christmas Wedding Tail, The Thinning) and Milo Manheim (Journey to Bethlehem, Zombies).
According to The Hollywood Reporter, YA programming is changing, but for now, School Spirits and Star Trek: Starfleet Academy are the only original series at Paramount+ that aren’t going through that change.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series is created by Nate Trinrud (Black Widow, Robin Hood) and Megan Trinrud (Made in Hollywood, Weird Little Things), who serve as co-showrunners. Oliver Goldstick (Pretty Little Liars, Bridgerton), who had been the showrunner in previous seasons, will return as a consultant for season four.
School Spirit is available to stream on Paramount+.
