Paramount+ has released a new trailer for their upcoming drama series Tulsa King starring Sylvester Stallone (Rambo: Last Blood). The first two episodes of the upcoming series will be released on the streaming service on November 13th, as noted by Deadline.
Deadline provided a description for Tulsa King: “(Tulsa King) follows (Dwight) Manfredi after he is released from prison and unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Oklahoma. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a crew from a group of unlikely characters, to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that to him might as well be another planet.”
Tulsa King will be an interesting project for Stallone, who has never starred in a TV series in his long career, per his IMDB page. He has made appearances on multiple different TV shows, but never in a starring role. Stallone is widely known for his roles in films such as the Rocky and Rambo sagas.
Stallone will star in the series as Manfredi along with Andrea Savage (Look Both Ways), Max Casella (Doogie Howser, M.D.), Martin Starr (I’ll See You In My Dreams), Domenick Lombardozzi (We Own This City), Vincent Piazza (Boardwalk Empire), Jay Will (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), A.C. Peterson (Agent Cody Banks), Garrett Hedlund (On The Road), and Dana Delany (Body Of Proof).
Tulsa King is being created by Taylor Sheridan (Hell Or High Water) and Terence Winter (The Sopranos), who will also serve as executive producers alongside Stallone, David C. Glasser (Nothing But The Truth), Ron Burkle (Out Of The Furnace), Bob Yari (Papa Hemingway In Cuba), David Hutkin (The War With Grandpa), Allen Coulter (The Sopranos), and Braden Aftergood (The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil). The studios producing the series are MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios.
