Yellowstone will be returning soon. The second half of the series’ fifth season will be released in the USA and Canada on Paramount Network and Paramount+ on Nov. 10, Deadline reports. Internationally, the series will premiere on Paramount+ in the U.K. on November 11. The series will premiere in Latin America, France and Brazil in late November. This is considered the final season of the show.
According to Deadline, the series has been produced in Montana, has been on hiatus since January of last year.
The main lead of Yellowstone, Kevin Costner (Horizon: An Expanded Saga, The Bodyguard, Hidden Figures), has also spoken more clearly about rumors of his exit from the show in this upcoming second part. He spoke to People regarding this matter and shared that he was disappointed that no one “ever stepped up to defend what it was I actually did for them,” according to Deadline.
“There came a moment where I thought, ‘Wow, when is somebody going to say something about what I have done versus what I haven’t done?’” Costner shared via Deadline.
According to Deadline, the actor added that when the Yellowstone producers initially pitched the series to him, “it was one season and a long movie.” Afterwards, the contract was extended, so the actor “stepped up” by sharing, “‘I’ll do it for three seasons, and I ended up doing it for five.”
As the show’s production went on hiatus, as stated beforehand, Costner added, “There was a moment where that show for me stopped for 14 months… That’s the fact. I could have done a lot of things in that time, but I wasn’t aware that that [hold-up] was going to happen,” via Deadline.
“I’ve always felt that…It might be an interesting moment to come back and finish the mythology of this modern-day family. And if that happens, I would step into it if I agreed with how it was being done … In the very end, I couldn’t do any more for it than I had already done,” Costner explained via Deadline.
The series, according to Deadline, focuses onhe Dutton family, who is able to control and own a huge cattle ranch in USA. Because of murders, alliances and secrets, the ranch is always in conflict with their borders, specifically an Indian reservation, America’s first national park and a town that is expanding.
Yellowstone‘s four complete seasons and part one of the fifth season are now available to stream on Paramount+. The second part of the fifth season will be available beginning Nov 10.
