Deadline has reported that the premiere date for season two of SkyMed has been announced by Paramount+, along with an official trailer. The second season consists of nine episodes, which will all be released at once on Paramount+ on Thursday, January 11. It will be available to stream outside of Canada on Paramount+ on Friday, January 12.
The cast of season two of SkyMed will feature many returning cast members, including Thomas Elms (The Order, Timeless) as Nowak, Morgan Holmstrom (Siberia, I Still See You) as Crystal, Mercedes Morris (Slasher, Couple-ish) as Lexi, Kheon Clarke (Gabby Duran & the Unsittables, Christmas Unleashed) as Tristan, Natasha Calis (Nurses, The Firm) as Hayley, “Ace” Aason Nadjiwon (Step Up All In, Riverdale) as Bodie, and Praneet Akilla (Nancy Drew, Motherland: Fort Salem) as Chopper.
Also returning for the second season is Emilia McCarthy (Zapped, Bunks) as Madison, Braeden Clarke (Little Bird, Outlander) as Jeremy, and Aaron Ashmore (Ginny & Georgia, Locke & Key) as Wheezer.
New cast members include Ryan Ali (Foundation, The Detectives) as Reese, Sydney Kuhne (Robyn Hood, Ghostwriter) as Stef, and Nadine Whiteman-Roden (Take Note, Good Witch) as Dr. Yana Noah.
The series takes place in Northern Canada and is about a group of young pilots and medics. The characters go through important personal experiences while they perform remote medical rescues. Season two will continue to follow the medics through extreme emergencies and survival situations. The group experiences romance, struggles, and successes as they continue to grow.
SkyMed is created by Julie Puckrin (Transplant, Killjoys) and produced by CBS Studios and Piazza Entertainment in association with CBC. Carrie Wilkins (Ordinary Angels, Dark Harvest) and Rhonda Baker (The Grudge, The Messengers) also produce. The series is executive produced by Puckrin, Gillian Hormel (Bruised, Tin Soldier), and Vanessa Piazza (Lost Girl, Dark Matter).
