In a minute long teaser trailer, Netflix announced that the hit crime drama Ozark will return for the second part of its final season on April 29.The first part of the final season brought in around 2.9 billion minutes of streaming for the service during the last days of January. This uptick in viewership brought the critically acclaimed show to number 1 on the Nielsen weekly ratings chart.
The show follows the Byrde family as they traverse the line between right and wrong as they transition from an every day, suburban family to money launderers. The show first premiered on Netflix in 2017 and went on to score lead actors Jason Bateman (Zootopia, Identity Thief) and Julia Garner (Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, The Assistant) Emmy awards.
“My childhood traumas are not like yours,” said Garner as Ruth Langmore in the teaser trailer. “You see, I’m a cursed Langmore.”
Currently, all episodes of the first three seasons are streaming on Netflix with the first half of the fourth season still remaining on the service.
