Starz’s Outlander has released the teaser trailer for season seven, which will premiere in summer of 2023, according to Variety. The trailer shows an array of clips displaying the drama to come from the new season, including a somber funeral, Brianna Fraser, played by Sophie Skelton (211, Ren), giving birth, and Claire Randall, played by Caitríona Balfe (Belfast, Ford v Ferrari), ready to be hanged. Near the end of the trailer, Jamie Fraser, played by Sam Heughan (Island at War, A Princess for Christmas), is heard saying “if I dream of the past, why not the future?” leaving his and Claire’s future up for uncertainty.
The series follows the story of Claire Randall, an English combat nurse from 1945, as she is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743. Alongside Balfe, Skelton, and Heughan, the series stars Richard Rankin (Burnt, The Last Kingdom), Duncan Lacroix (Outlaw King, Vikings), Graham McTavish (Rambo, The Hobbit franchise), John Bell (Wrath of the Titans, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug), César Domboy (The Walk, The Princess of Montpensier), Lauren Lyle (Karen Pirie, Vigil), and Tobias Menzies (Casino Royale, The Crown).
All six seasons of Outlander are available to stream on Netflix and Starz.
