‘Orphan Black: Echoes’ Episode Two Preview – Sci-Fi Mystery Continues

Yesterday, AMC Networks made an announcement about the Orphan Black spin-off show, Orphan Black: Echoes. The network expressed excitement about sharing a preview of the second episode of the thriller series.

Starring Krysten Ritter (Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Breaking Bad) as Lucy, Orphan Black: Echoes is a Canadian sci-fi mystery thriller. New episodes will be released weekly on Sundays at 10pm ET/PT. The first season of Orphan Black: Echoes consists of ten episodes. 

the first episode came out this week on June 23, and fans can expect the second episode, “Jules,” to premiere next Sunday, June 30, at 10 p.m.ET/PT on AMC and BBC America. The second episode is also available to stream on AMC+. 

Orphan Black: Echoes takes place in 2052, thirty-seven years after the end of the original show Orphan Black. As reported by AMC Networks, the sequel explores how science can transform the nature of human life. Orphan Black: Echoes also centers around several female characters whose lives become closely intertwined throughout the season. Together, they venture on an exciting and intense adventure where they discover important truths about who they are. Overall, Orphan Black: Echoes presents a story shrouded in love, mystery and betrayal.

The second episode focuses on Jules Lee, played by Amanda Fix (Daisy Jones & The Six, High School) , a teenager adopted by a wealthy couple who bears a striking resemblance to Lucy. Bewildered, Lucy forcibly hauls Jules to Settlement House, where she ropes Craig, played by Jonathan Whittaker (The Kid Detective, The Kennedys), into a messy interrogation

Alongside Ritter, who also serves as executive producer, other stars in the sequel include Keeley Hawes (Stonehouse, The Durrells), Avan Jogia (Now Apocalypse, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City), Rya Kihlstedt (Dexter, Star Wars: Tales of the Empire) and James Hiroyuki Liao (Blue Bloods, Barry).

Additionally, as reported by AMC Networks, Anna Fishko (Tyrant, The Society) and John Fawcett (Billy the Kid, The Border) are the creators of the spin-off show. Fishko assumes multiple roles as creator, writer, and executive producer. Fawcett, co-creator of the original Orphan Black series, directed seventeen episodes and continues to direct additional episodes for the sequel. He also serves as an executive producer alongside Fishko and Ritter.
