For any media junkie, it’s more than exciting to see what Netflix is bringing to us each coming month. Will it be a returning Emmy darling? Will it be an educational comedy?
In both of these cases the answers are yes, because Deadline announced the premiere dates for season five of Orange Is The New Black and Bill Nye Saves the World.
For those not so familiar with Bill Nye, he is the real-life genius behind Bill Nye the Science Guy from the ’90s. Nye, who is a licensed mechanical engineer as well as recognized television host, is heading his own talk show about everything related to sciences. Nye will also talk his inscrutable scientific view and apply it to debunking myths and challenging anti-science claims from every walk of life.
Bill Nye Saves the World finally has a premiere date, which is April 21st. And don’t worry, non-science buffs, Nye’s show is interested in everything from science to pop culture. He was, after all, the Science Guy.
On the other hand, I can’t imagine anyone who isn’t familiar with Orange Is The New Black by now. After an explosive fourth season, the gang is perched at the precipice of chaotic drama after that climactic finale. Taylor Schilling has returned for season five, alongside Uzo Aduba, Natasha Lyonne, Taryn Manning, Laura Prepon, and Danielle Brooks. The Hollywood Reporter also reported that the entire season will cover only three days, so get ready for some non-stop drama gracing our Netflix screens on June 9th.
