Last Saturday, Winfrey auctioned off a personal mixed collection of art, antiques, furniture, and memorabilia at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club in California.
The item sold for most was, reportedly, a set of six 18th century Louis XVI chairs, sold for $60,000 dollars. All the others items sold for more than $1000 dollars.
The purpose of the public sale was to raise money to helpt her charity fund, The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Foundation College Fund, which aims to send destitute African girls to college.
