‘One-Punch Man’ Artist Yusuke Murata Announces the Opening of New Anime Studio

Yusuke Murata, the artist who has been behind the popular manga One-Punch Man is in the works of some pretty big new projects. One of these was the creation of his own anime studio and another was the release of his new series. Five new teaser clips have been released upon the announcement of the new studio.

Fans eagerly look forward to seeing what the manga artist has in store. Due to Murata’s eye-catching artwork displayed in his manga work, many are looking forward to seeing what he does and the art that will be on display in the animation style. According to ScreenRant, it was announced back in March 2023 that he was in the process of working on his own anime. Since then there was not ton of information circling around regarding the status of this project until the year turned. On December 29, 2023, Murata released several trailers for the upcoming anime, one of them being his first-ever solo project, an anime titled Zaiyuki. The trailers also were filled with montages that emphasized the talents of the artist but also gave fans of his a glimpse into the new anime project. 

While there isn’t a ton of info regarding the new series Zaiyuki, according to ScreenRant what fans do know is that the series is about Goyjo who is a boy who seemingly fails at many activities such as swimming and sumo. Since he lacks these physical skills he becomes a bit of an outcast and leaves home when he is finally given the opportunity after winning the lottery. But, in his journey overseas he gets mixed up with some fugitives who are hunting him down.
