Per Deadline, Netflix’s live-action One Piece continues expanding its ensemble for season three with the additions of Awdo Awdo and Daisy Head. Awdo Awdo previously seen in The Good Doctor and The Power signs on to play Mr. 1, while Daisy Head whose credits include Shadow and Bone and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves will portray Miss Doublefinger. Both actors are already on-site in Cape Town where filming for the new season is actively taking place, according to Deadline.
As Deadline reports, One Piece remains Netflix’s adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s best-selling manga phenomenon. The fantasy-pirate epic follows perennial optimist Monkey D. Luffy as he leads the Straw Hat pirates across the seas in search of the fabled One Piece treasure the key to becoming King of the Pirates a legacy that has turned the franchise into one of the world’s most enduring pop-culture properties.
According to Deadline, season two will showcase higher stakes as the Straw Hats sail into the Grand Line, a notorious maritime stretch filled with surreal islands and daunting enemies. This upcoming chapter, launching March 10, promises new threats and narrative escalation that deepens the show’s world-building and expands its mythology.
As stated by Deadline, returning core cast members include Iñaki Godoy (Who Killed Sara?, The Imperfects), Mackenyu (Rurouni Kenshin: Final Chapter , Pacific Rim: Uprising), Emily Rudd (Fear Street 1974 , Hunters), Jacob Romero (Greenleaf , The Birch), and Taz Skylar (The Deal , Lie Low). Also rejoining the series are Charithra Chandran (Bridgerton , How to Date Billy Walsh), Mikaela Hoover (Guardians of the Galaxy , Love Hard), Joe Manganiello (True Blood , Justice League), Lera Abova (Anna , The Girl in the Spider’s Web), and Sendhil Ramamurthy (Heroes , The Office). Cole Escola (At Home with Amy Sedaris , Search Party ) and Xolo Maridueña (Blue Beetle , Cobra Kai ) will also appear in new roles.
As Deadline details, the series continues as a joint effort between Netflix and Shueisha, produced by Tomorrow Studios. Showrunner duties fall to Matt Owens (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Luke Cage) and Joe Tracz (A Series of Unfortunate Events, Percy Jackson & The Olympians), with Ian Stokes (Supernatural , Chicago Fire) joining for Season 3.
