Tinkerbell will be flying into the world of ABC’s Once Upon a Time. Entertainment Weekly reports that Rose McIver has been cast in the iconic role on a recurring basis for the show’s third season.
At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis offered some vague tidbits about Once’s version of Tinkerbell: that she will be introduced in a “surprising” manner and will have an “unlikely connection to another character.”
McIver has previously appeared on Legend of the Seeker and in “The Lovely Bones”; she can next be seen on Showtime’s upcoming Masters of Sex series.
Among the other new characters to be introduced this year on Once Upon a Time are Peter Pan and Ariel, though ABC has not yet announced casting news in regards to either role.
Once Upon a Time’s third season premieres September 29 at 8 PM.
