Deadline claims that ABC is fostering crossover episodes between The Bachelor and 9-1-1 as an example of how their primetime shows can work together. It had been hinted that two of the network’s shows would soon intersect by Oliver Stark (Into The Badlands, MindGamers), who plays Buck on 9-1-1. It’s unclear what plot point will link the dating competition with the scripted series. Another question that has not been confirmed is whether or not the current bachelor Joey Graziadei (Extra) is going to be on 9-1-1.
In a recent interview with People, Stark stated: “It’s not a direct crossover, but there’s a feel of it, There’s a really fun emergency, and it’s not necessarily the biggest in terms of spectacle, but in the fifth episode of the season, there’s one that kind of touches base with another ABC show. I’m really excited for that just because I think it will be a good watch.”
The outlet then obtained a picture of the 118 ambulance that was parked outside the mansion that was featured on The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and The Golden Bachelor, according to Deadline.
After six seasons on Fox, 9-1-1 season seven debuted on ABC on March 14th, according to Deadline. The show, which was created by Ryan Murphy (Ratched, American Horror Story), Brad Falchuk (The Brothers Sun, Scream Queens), and Tim Minear (Firefly, Feud), centers on the lives of first responders in Los Angeles, including police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and dispatchers.
Angela Bassett (Black Panther, Meet The Browns), Peter Krause (Six Feet Under, Sports Night), Stark, Jennifer Love Hewitt (Ghost Whisperer, Criminal Minds), Ryan Guzman (The Boy Next Door, Step Up Revolution), Aisha Hinds (Godzilla: King Of The Monsters, First Day Back) , Kenneth Choi (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Glee), Corinne Massiah (Mistresses, Bad Hair), and Gavin McHugh (9-1-1) are the current cast members of the show.
Graziadei is on his 28th season of ABC’s The Bachelor, where he is looking for his true love. He’s a professional tennis instructor and the runner-up on season 20 of The Bachelorette, which included Charity Lawson (Dancing With The Stars).
ABC hosts The Bachelor on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET and 9-1-1 on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET.
