TBS recently released the official trailer for Miracle Workers: Oregon Trail, according to Variety. Esteemed actors Daniel Radcliffe (Swiss Army Man) and Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire) lead up the cast in the third season of the comedic anthology series.
Miracle Workers: Oregon Trail is set in the year 1844, a time of covered wagons carrying settlers across the American Old West. Radcliffe will play a small-town preacher who “teams up with a wanted outlaw (Buscemi) and an adventurous prairie wife (Geraldine Viswanathan, Blockers) to lead a wagon train west on the Oregon Trail,” according to Variety. Series regulars Karan Soni (Deadpool) and Jon Bass (Molly’s Game) are also returning for the third season.
The Miracle Workers series was originally created by humorist Simon Rich (An American Pickle). The first season followed Rich’s 2012 novel What in God’s Name and the second season, Miracle Workers: Dark Ages, was based on his short story “Revolution.”
Last August, TBS announced that the series would return for a third season, but said that Rich would not be involved. Dan Mirk (Future Man) and Robert Padnick (Great News), who worked on Rich’s FXX comedy series Man Seeking Woman, are slated to take over showrunning duties.
Miracle Workers: Oregon Trail premieres July 13, 2021 on TBS.
