After months of tantalizing teases and cryptic hints, the official trailer for the highly anticipated Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again has been released. According to a mxdwn post, the trailer was originally supposed to be released back on January 13th, but was postponed due to concerning events with the California wildfires, which the series star Vincent D’Onofrio (Hawkeye) gives his honest opinion on the matter.
According to Deadline, the trailer opens up with Matt Murdock, played by Charlie Cox (The Defenders) having a conversation with Wilson Fisk within a diner discussing the rapid spread of violence. We also get to see new characters within the new series, such as White Tiger and a brand new villain that resembles Muse from the comics, whose actors are unknown. Fans see that chaos is ensuing within the city of New York, and that the only solution to solving it is an unlikely alliance between enemies to help get the city back to normal. It helps capture the gritty atmosphere and high-intensity action format of the previous Daredevil series.
According to Deadline, along with Cox and D’Onfrio, the trailer also showcases other familiar faces such as Karen Page, played by Deborah Ann Woll (Escape Room), Foggy Nelson, played by Elden Henson (Jessica Jones) and Frank Castle, played by Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead). The series will be executively produced by Kevin Feige (The Avengers), Louis D’Esposito (The Marvels) and Brad Winderbaum (Black Widow). The episodes within the series will be directed by Justin Benson (Synchronic), Aaron Moorhead (The Resolution), Michael Cuesta (Homeland), Jeffrey Nachmanoff (Traitor) and David Boyd (Deadwood).
Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to make its debut on Disney+ on March 4. While fans await further update on the upcoming series, the entire previous series is available to stream on Netflix, as well as all others in the Marvel franchise.
