During Friday’s New York Comic-Con, the cast of Prime Video’s animated series Hazbin Hotel graced fans with a slight tease of the upcoming second season. The panel consisted of stars Christian Borle (Smash, Younger), Erika Henningsen (Harlem, Blue Bloods), Blake Roman (A Night at the Park, Weiner Police), Amir Talai (The Circle, Family Guy), Kimiko Glenn (Orange Is the New Black, Centaurworld), Alex Brightman (The Union, Helluva Boss), Jessica Vosk (Company, East New York), Joel Perez (Odd Mom Out, Person of Interest), Lilli Cooper(Sheepdog, The Post), Krystina Alabado (Tyrant,Better Nate Than Never) and creator and executive producer Vivienne Medrano (Eddsworld, Normal British Series). Medrano defined each season of the series as a chapter of a book, with the first season being a chapter of redemption and the second season being a reflection, with her having a clear ending planned out for the franchise.

The panel was filled with interesting questions that were asked to the cast, along with two clips from the upcoming second season showcasing what is to come. The first clip that was shown was the Vees discussing what is to come now that angels can be defeated and how they can use Charlie’s hotel’s reputation to further their plans. Borle spoke about how thrilled he was to further the character of Voxin in the upcoming season and can’t wait for fans to see more of it without spoiling what is to come. Cooper and Perez, who play Velvet and Valentino in the Vees, share how their characters will be trying to stay on track with the common goal that they must accomplish as a team. Medrano mentioned that the second season will focus heavily on the villains in the series, with a possible third season in mind to fully flesh out the characters.
The second clip that was shown was a singing sequence that featured the character of Lute, played by Vosk. In the musical number, Lute is expressing how trying to form peace with hell is the same thing as treason, and while this is happening, she keeps imagining Adam in the moment, singing along with her. Speaking of musical numbers, the cast also shared how the character of Niffty will finally get their own musical number.
