NYCC 2025: HBO’s ‘Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake’ Gives A Sneak Peek For What’s To Come From The Animated Series

HBO’s Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake gives fans a sneak peek at what is to come from the upcoming second season during 2025 Comic-Con. During the series’ panel, fans got to see the first episode of the upcoming season. Fans join executive producer and showrunner Adam Muto (Steven Universe, Adventure Time: Distant Lands), along with voice cast members Madeleine Martin (What We Do in the Shadows, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) as Fionna, Roz Ryan (Mickey Mouse Funhouse, Summer Camp Island) as Cake, and Ashly Burch (Attack on Titan, Mythic Quest) as Huntress, for an exclusive sneak peek at the multiversal adventures that await. The first episode showed what happened to our heroes after the events of the first season, as well as showing future issues they are going to have to deal with during the season.

According to the official press release, the log line for the second season reads as follows: “After their journey through the multiverse, Fionna and Cake tackle new adventures while Huntress Wizard embarks on a desperate quest with fatal consequences.”

Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake is available to stream on HBO Max. The second season will air on the streamer on Thursday, October 23, with a new episode of its 10-episode season every week until December 25.
