According to ComicBook, there has been no official word on if there will be a season two of Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett. Temuera Morrison (Attack of the Clones, Aquaman) shared with Newshub that he hasn’t heard from any updates on the series.
“No word yet. I don’t even know if there is going to be a season two, I don’t know what’s going on,” Morrison said via Comicbook. “We’re coming out of this downtime period so I think everyone is settling back in and it all goes back to budgets and what they want to do and how much everything costs. I really don’t know. Judging by the fans I’ve met, they all want a season two of Boba Fett, but I don’t know what’s going to happen.”
Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett is a spin-off limited series from The Mandalorian. The series that focused on the cult classic bounty hunter has left audiences wondering if they would get more seasons. According to ComicBook, even if there isn’t another season specifically focusing on Boba Fett, it’s likely Boba Fett will reappear in the new expanded universe. Whether it’s between The Mandalorian, Star Wars: Ahsoka, and Book of Boba Fett.
The new iteration of Boba Fett came back in season two of The Mandalorian, with Morrison rejoining the franchise after appearing in the prequel trilogy. The Book of Boba Fett told the story of what happened to Boba Fett after Return of the Jedi and his appearances in The Mandalorian.
Despite being the titular character, many fans were upset at the lack of focus on Fett as a central character. The series featured a large ensemble with appearances by Ahsoka Tano, Din Djarin, and Luke Skywalker.
Rotten Tomatoes held the series at 66% positive reviews from critics and 53% from audiences. The hope of fans to get another season to further explore the character from the films may be misguided if the future of the series is a continuation of season one.
