True Detective revealed the character posters for season two along with some information of the direction of season two.
The season two leads; Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams, and Taylor Kitsch all get a poster. The posters cut off the eyes of each lead and feature the same tag, “We Get The World We Deserve.” Season two follows three cops (Farrell, McAdams, Kitsch) and the criminal (Vaughn) as they navigate and unravel conspiracies connected to a murder in Los Angeles. The posters can be seen below.
Also in True Detective news, Medium published a Q&A with creator and showrunner, Nic Pizzolatto and he revealed a few tidbits about the upcoming season.
While Pizzolatto originally said season two would follow the secret occult history of the US transportation system he told Medium that he discarded that plot element in favor of, “closer character work and a more grounded crime story.”
Pizzolatto also told Medium that viewers can expect a different less gothic tone of season two that is more in line with the season’s new setting. Additionally viewers can expect to hear a lot of original music this season.
True Detective returns to HBO on June 21.
