In a double-header today, Netflix released a new trailer and poster for season 2 of Jessica Jones. While they were at it, they also republished their series synopsis:
New York City private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why.
With the demise of her arch-nemesis Kilgrave, Jones is forced to face her past including how her family was killed and where those pesky powers came from. As the poster below depicts, she has plenty of attitude to cope.
The season 2 trailer features a possible new arch enemy who is on a killing spree. Season 1 returnees include Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor), Malcolm Ducasse (Eka Darville), and Jeryn Hogarth (Carrie-Anne Moss). The most anticipated sighting: the return of David Tennant’s Kilgrave.
The freshman season of the show was a far cry from the typical superhero genre making the rounds. Jones uses a little booze and a lot of wise cracking to make it through life while still trying to do the right thing.
Jessica Jones returns to Netflix for season 2 on March 8.
