Netflix’s Daredevil has released a trailer, and they released it in a creative way. After watching all ten episodes of Iron Fist season two, there was a scene after the credits that helped tease the third season of Daredevil. This marks the first time Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) returned to the screen since The Defenders last fall.
Here’s the trailer:
In the trailer Daredevil is in a confessional booth at a church while wearing his costume. He is bloodied after a fight, and the trailer does get quit dark.He even states, “Darkness only responds to darkness.” This also goes along with another image that was released in early August where the train station sign was covered in blood. Maybe this scene happens right now that big train fight?
At the end of the thirty seconds Daredevil says, “I’d rather die as the devil, than live as Matt Murdock.” This line leads to even more wonder of what is going to happen to Murdock. Especially with the tweet that the official Marvel Entertainment Twitter account released only a few days ago (September 6th). In the tweet they released a missing poster with Murdock’s image on it.

With these images and clips an even darker season of Daredevil seems to be on the horizon. While it is known that the third season will come out at some point this year, the teaser did not give out the exact date. However, the impending darkness shown in the teaser will probably excite many fans. For right now the dark confessional will need to keep the hype going until the release date is revealed.
