Netflix’s new Marvel comic adaptation, premiering in April, has released a teaser.

The teaser released of this Netflix series is promising for a dramatic, lasting run.
The show stars British actor Charlie Cox (Stardust, Boardwalk Empire) as Matt Murdock. According to Rolling Stones, the intriguing teaser opens with Matt in a church confessional. He is engulfed in darkness. “I’m not seeking forgiveness for what I’ve done, Father,” Murdock intones. “I’m asking forgiveness for what I’m about to do.”
Overall, the clip is quite general and does a great job of keeping the show somewhat of a mystery. This teaser definitely leaves you wanting more. Although it doesn’t show us much, we do see some of the cast. Vincent D’Onofrio plays Kingpin and Rosario Dawson plays Claire Temple. The teaser also gives the viewer a very eerie vibe. “I’ve been preoccupied of late with questions of morality – of right and wrong, good and evil,” Murdock says, emphasizing he’s “just trying to make (his) city a better place.”
Daredevil is developed by veteran fantasy/sci-fi writer and director Drew Goddard (Lost and Cloverfield). The show centers around the Marvel comic. In the original, Murdock is blinded by a radioactive substance at age 12. This incident heightens his other senses beyond normal human levels. The superhero seeks revenge after his father, boxer Jack Murdock, is killed by gangsters. He goes by Daredevil, nicknamed “The Man Without Fear.”
The Marvel comic adaptation will premiere on Netflix on April 10.
