Over at Hulu, fans will finally receive the last season of the political thriller, The Handmaid’s Tale. The fifth season aired in 2022 and received a sixth season renewal shortly after. The sixth season was delayed due to the dual labor strike, pushing production to 2024. The series, based on the novel by Margaret Atwood (Cat’s Eye, Oryx and Crake), follows a dystopian United States overthrown by a patriarchal totalitarian. Another delayed series is the drama, Paradise, starring Sterling K. Brown. Originally announced in 2021, the series reunites the Biosphere actor with his This Is Us scribe, Dan Fogelman. The short clip reveals Brown as a security guard for the president who finds the Commander-in-Chief murdered. Elsewhere is Glen Powell’s (Top Gun: Maverick, Anyone But You) upcoming football comedy Chad Powers, and Ellen Pompeo’s (Grey’s Anatomy) true-crime family drama, Good American Family.
Offerings of the FX on Hulu brand include the fourth season of The Bear. The Emmy-winning comedy reportedly filmed seasons three and four consecutively, which is why we’re receiving the latter so soon. Season two coveted Emmy wins for lead Jeremy Allen White (The Iron Claw, Shameless) and supporting leads Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Girls) and Liza Colón Zayas (In Treatment, David Makes Man). Fans of the Alien franchise can anticipate the arrival of Noah Hawley’s (Legion, Fargo) Alien Earth. It was recently announced the character of Athena will be played by Oscar-nominated actress and singer, Andra Day (The Deliverance, The United States vs. Billie Holiday).
Finally, the next two Star Wars series are set to launch on TVs soon.
