New Show Image Of ‘The Penguin’ Shows New Look Of Oswald Cobblepot

According to ScreenRant, DC’s The Penguin gets new look in the upcoming spinoff of The Batman. In the new image, Colin Farrell (The Banshees of Inisherin) is seen as Oswald Cobblepot wearing a white suitThe series which is meant to dive deeper into the corrupt Gotham that is featured in Matt Reeves’ The Batman is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2024 on Max and will consist of eight episodes.

According to ScreenRant, the new white suit signifies a change for Cobblepot who usually wears all traditional black attire. This may signal a change in the character who might be going through a transformative change, The change may indicate a rise in power or a strategic shift in Cobblepot’s criminal undertakings.

According to Variety, the series will pick up right after the conclusion of The Batman and will follow Cobblepot’s rise to power in the dark underworld of the city of Gotham. This will lead him to be one of Batman’s most feared villains as he continually gains more power. Lauren LeFranc (Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.) is the writer, executive producer, and showrunner. Reeves will executive produce via Sixth & Idaho, while Dylan Clarke (Bird Box: Barcelona) will executive produce via Dylan Clark Productions.

The series cast includes Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot, Cristin Milioti (The Wolf of Wall Street) as Sofia Falcone, Alex Anagnostidis (The Irishman) as Ray, Craig Walker (Blue Bloods)  as Detective Marcus Wise, Clancy Brown (Invincible) as Salvatore Maroni, Mark (Shazam! Fury of the Gods) Strong as Carmine Falcone, Rhenzy Feliz (American Horror Stories) as Victor Aguilar, and Ava Grey (Run Sweetheart Run) as Cinnamon. 

The Penguin is scheduled to air in 2024 on Max.
