New Netflix Original Series ‘Teenage Bounty Hunter’ Now Streaming

The new Netflix original series Teenage Bounty Hunters is now streaming. The show is executive produced by frequent collaborators Jenji Kohan (Weeds, Glow) and Tara Herrman (Orange is the New Black ), while being created by Kathleen Jordan (American Princess). In line with previous shows from Kohan and Herrman, they’ve taken a classic trope within American culture, the teenage girl, and put a novel twist on it. The dramedy’s first season consists of 10 hour long episodes via Entertainment Weekly.

Watch the trailer below:

Teenage Bounty Hunters follows fraternal twins Sterling and Blair Wesley, two southern teenage girls who get tangled up in a web of bounty hunting. The Wesley sisters are portrayed by newcomers Maddie Phillips and Anjelica Bette Fellini, modeling a cast that is a combination of seasoned and unknown actors. After meeting older and wiser bounty hunter Bowser portrayed by Kardeem Hardison (Black Monday) he becomes their new boss in the world of sporting guns, hand-cuffs, and falling in love. Attending a Christian high school in Atlanta, the sixteen-year-old twins must engage in tracking down criminals while dealing with newly found love lives.

Sterling and Blair are devout Christian girls who support the Second Amendment and Black Lives Matter. Their religious beliefs and political viewpoints model a new kind of conservative youth, with Entertainment Weekly calling the show: “a lively, progressive young adult adventure that seeks to redefine the antiquated ideas around what it means to be a ‘good Christian girl.’” The Netflix original combines drama, comedy, action and raunchy teenage love to make a show ultimately about two girls coming of age.

Star of the show Angelica Bette Fellini took to Instagram today in support of the release. Find the post with behind the scene pictures below:
