The brilliant duo behind The Sound of Music Live! and Smash, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, are creating a new series titled ‘Better Late Than Never’. This new series is based on the Korean format Grandpas Over Flowers. This wildy popular Korean series follows four entertainment legends through their next great adventure. With “better late than never” being the theme, they formulate a plan to backpack throughout Southeast Asia.
Meron and Zadan, who are also responsible for the hit feature The Bucket List as well as NBC’s upcoming live production of Peter Pan, will executive produce this new series The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Although the cast list has yet to be announced, this pilot would go straight to series if it recruited some big names. Should the series move forward, it would join the already hefty roster of NBC hit shows including Running Wild With Bear Grylls, The Biggest Loser, Hollywood Game Night, and America’s Got Talent.
