Eagle eyed fans on Twitter spotted brand new information regarding the God of Mischief, Loki Laufeyson (played by Tom Hiddleston, Avengers: Infinity War), in a new teaser for the next Marvel and Disney+ series, Loki. According to TVLine, a line in the villain’s Time Variance Authority’s (TVA) arrest report lists him as gender fluid.
Due to Loki’s ability to shape-shift into anything and anyone he desires, the confirmation of his ability to switch genders is not a major surprise. However, it does bring canonical knowledge of Loki’s gender fluidity from the comics and into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to TVLine, a 2014 comic line made reference to Odin’s son, daughter, and his “child who is both”, describing Thor, Hela, and Loki, respectively.
