According to TVLine, Paramount+ has released exclusive footage of the upcoming second season of the supernatural teen drama series, School Spirits, which follows the journey of Maddie, played by Peyton List (Jessie), as she tries to investigate her murder in the afterlife. Other members that will return will include Milo Manheim (Zombies) as Wally, Sarah Yarkin (Tankhouse) as Rhonda, and Nick Pugliese (13 Reasons Why) as Charley. The series has been well known for its wonderful blend of drama, humor, and suspense that has kept the audience on the edge of their seats.

The season one finale showcased the group discovering that their teacher, Mr. Martin, played by Josh Zuckerman (Useless Humans), had a hand in what led to Maddie’s situation, and that she wasn’t murdered, but her body was hijacked by Janet Hamilton, played by Jess Gabor (Shameless).  According to TVLine, the revealed exclusive look gives an audience a glimpse into what kind of journey the group will encounter.

“Picking up from the shocking season one finale, Maddie Nears is still stuck in the afterlife, but now with the knowledge of what happened to her,” Paramount+ teases according to TVLine. “She must unite her friends in the spectral and living worlds in order to reclaim her stolen life.”

According to TVLine, the other ghostly additions to the second season will be Zack Calderon (Afterparty) as Diego Herrera, Ci Hang Ma (Departure) as Quinn and Miles Elliot (Preacher) as Yuri. These new characters will undoubtedly bring a fresh dynamic to the show. The group will surely solve the mystery of where Janet had taken Maddie’s body in the upcoming season, while also revealing brand new ones.

While fans await on the further information and release of the second season, the entire first of School Spirits is available to stream on Paramount+.
