New featurette for Disney+ series The Falcon And The Winter Soldier premieres just ahead of the second episode. The new two minute snippet features interviews with Canadian director Kari Skogland (Fifty Dead Men Walking), head writer Malcolm Spellman (Our Family Wedding), executive producer Nate Moore (Captain America: Civil War, Eternals), and Anthony Mackie (Netflix’s Altered Carbon) along with Sebastian Stan (Gossip Girl).
The interviews go into depth about the series’ characters’ main dilemma. Sam Wilson (Mackie) aka The Falcon is having a difficult time with the idea of someone filling the Captain America sized space missing from the world. He doesn’t see himself good enough to fill it, let alone anyone else. With action and adventure so heavily embedded in the show’s DNA it is something its creators enjoyed bringing to life but wanted to involve a more human aspect as well. When it comes to Bucky Barnes (Stan) aka The Winter Soldier he’s struggling with adapting to his new world at 106 years old as well as trying to make amends for his former mercenary life.
The six-episode Marvel series also features Wyatt Russell (Overlord) as David, Emily VanCamp (ABC’s Revenge) as Sharon Carter, and Daniel Brühl (The Alienist) as Zemo. Premiering Friday March 26, 2021 you can stream the second episode of the series “The Star-Spangled Man” on Disney+ right now.
