Hulu has given a series order to the upcoming series produced by Emma Roberts (American Horror Story), entitled Tell Me Lies, according to Variety. The series is based on the book of the same name by Carola Lovering (Too Good To Be True).
Tell Me Lies centers around a toxic and tumultuous relationship over the course of eight years. Lucy Albright, played by Grace Van Patton (Tramps, Nine Perfect Strangers), is described as a sheltered yet confident product of a wealthy Long Island town, with trauma that has labeled her the “Ice Queen” among her friends. When she meets Stephen DeMarco at college, she recognizes similar demons in him as herself. Consequently, a typical campus romance results in an addictive entanglement that would alter their lives forever. Thus far in the Hulu project, only the role of Lucy has been cast.
Roberts will executive produce Tell Me Lies alongside Meaghan Oppenheimer (Queen America), Laura Lewis (Mr. Malcolm’s List), and Shannon Gibson (7 Deadly Sins). The series was first announced to being in development at the network in September 2020.
