New Cast Members Announced for Amazon MGM’s ‘Jack Ryan’ Movie

According to Deadline Max Beesley (The Gentlemen, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre), Douglas Hodge (Joker, Red Sparrow), JJ Feild (Ford v Ferrari, The Peripheral), and Betty Gabriel (Get Out, Manhunt) have joined John Krasinski (A Quiet Place, The Office) in the upcoming Jack Ryan movie at Amazon MGM Studios. The film, an extension of Amazon’s Prime Video series, also stars returning cast members Sienna Miller and Wendell Pierce, alongside Michael Kelly. Gabriel, who appeared in the third and fourth seasons of the series, is excited to reprise her role.

Capitalizing on the immense success of the Jack Ryan TV series, the film marks the next chapter of the franchise. Produced in association with Paramount Pictures and Skydance, it follows Krasinski’s portrayal of Tom Clancy’s iconic character. Andrew Bernstein (Ozark, Foundation), who directed and executive produced Season 2 of the series, will direct the film, based on a script by Krasinski and Aaron Rabin (Silent River, Nobody 2).

The movie continues the story of Jack Ryan, which has become one of Prime Video’s top three most-watched series globally. Following the final two episodes of the fourth and final season, the show amassed 1.15 billion minutes of viewing, per Nielsen. As production ramps up, Krasinski and Allyson Seeger, along with Andrew Form, are producing through their Sunday Night banner.

The new film will feature the ongoing collaboration of Skydance, Amazon MGM Studios, and Paramount Television Studios. Executive producers include Skydance’s David Ellison (Altered Carbon, Grace and Frankie) and Dana Goldberg (Grace and Frankie, Dietland), along with John Kelly (Quackser Fortune Has a cousin in the Bronx, Chisum), Carlton Cuse (Lost, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan), and Clancy’s estate. Fans of the series can expect an action-packed continuation of the thrilling spy saga.

On the television front, Beesley recently appeared in Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen for Netflix and Hijack for Apple TV+. Hodge’s credits include The Great, Black Mirror, and Penny Dreadful. Meanwhile, Feild wrapped the limited series Little Disasters and has notable appearances in Lost in Space and Turn Up Charlie. Gabriel, known for her standout performance in Get Out, is also set for Novocaine alongside Jack Quaid.

An impressive cast and an expansion of its hit series, the Jack Ryan movie promises to be an exciting next step for both the character and franchise. Fans can look forward to more high-stakes action and compelling performances when it hits the big screen.
