

According to Deadline, actor Mike Dopud (Bulldoque, Final Invasion) has been added to Netflix’s show Trinity. Created by Jed Mercurio (Line of Duty, Trigger Point), who is the showrunner and executive producer as well as writer, Dopud will have a reoccurring role as the character US Navy Commander Chief, Waylon Kelly.
Netflix previously announced that Gugu Mbatha-Raw (The Women In Cabin 10, Surface), Richard Madden (Citadel, Killer Heat), JD Pardo (The Terminal List, Untamed), and Marcia Gay Harden (Street Smart, Murder in a Small Town) are starring in Trinity. James Remar (Dexter: Resurrection, The Odyssey), Bruce Greenwood (Dark Winds, The Fabulous Four), Kirk Acevedo (Lioness, The Offer), Ben Cotton (Resident Alien, Smoke), Jason Ralph (Three Women, The Magicians) and Mark O’Brian (Falsehood, Topper) will be reoccurring in the series, mentions Deadline.
Deadline notes that Trinity is about Commander Katherine Decker, played by Mbatha-Raw, who is second-in-command on the USS Kansas. Decker is a Naval Officer who becomes openly involved with the Secretary of Defense, Webb Preston, played by Madden. Soon after, she discovers that he could be part of a dangerous conspiracy. Other characters that will be introduced are Harden’s Margaret Vandenburg, family matriarch and CEO of the family business; Pardo portrays Tom Reyes, who is a Lieutenant in the US Navy; Special agent Eric Colby played by Greenwood; Wisdom as Admiral Griff Tatum; Acevedo is Captain Jock Campbell; and Remar as the president, Paul Barnard.
Deadline mentions Jimmy Mulville (Celebrity Mastermind, Spinster) and Wendy Mericle (The Rainmaker, So Help Me Todd) join Mercurio as executive producers. Michael Cuesta (Accused, Promised Land) will direct and EP the first two episodes for 20th Television.
According to Deadline, some of Dopud’s previous roles include the Starz hit series Power and the Stargate Universe. He also had guest starring roles on the CW’s Arrow and The 100, Turner & Hooch for Disney+ and much more. He is repped by Global Artists Agency and Pacific Artists Management.
