Netflix’s Jessica Jones Makes MCU Debut In First Teaser For Disney+’s ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season Two

Marvel fans rejoice as an official teaser for Daredevil: Born Again season two has been released. This new season will continue Matt Murdock’s fight against his arch nemesis, the Kingpin, who is now the mayor of New York.

Where we last saw our hero, Murdock realized that he was outnumbered when it comes to fighting Wilson Fisk. The Punisher had been captured and Fisk is utilizing his “Anti Vigilante Task Force” to reign in the law when it comes Daredevil and any other masked crime fighters. The teaser also gave us a brief screening of the memorable Jessica Jones, played by Krysten Ritter, who in interviews and press conferences was revealed to be making a debut return to MCU. The teaser also shows images of Poindexter aka Bullseye, one of Daredevil’s adversaries who in the last season killed Foggy Nelson, escaped prison, and attempted to kill Fisk at his city gala. There is also a brief showing of Daredevil’s iconic black suit that had been seen in photos on the internet.

The teaser alone can tells us a story as to what we can expect to see in the second season. In one of the shots, there is a person putting up a missing poster for Matt Murdock. This could tell us that Murdock is stepping away from being an attorney and deciding to dedicate his time into being Daredevil to better help the city. The trailer also shows Murdock’s potential weakness on full display. Before lovingly embracing Karen Page, a frequency-based attack throws off his sense of hearing, as Murdock utilizes his hearing as a way of fighting crime. There also appears to be a boxing match between Fisk and a character we have not been introduced to yet, but in the shot, we see Fisk almost obliterating the unnamed boxer. And we briefly see a corridor of caged individuals, those being Fisk’s enemies or those who do not fall in line with his agenda.

The trailer is showing that both characters are not pulling their punches, and therefore, we see a different side of the characters. Kingpin is the terror running New York with an iron fist, while Daredevil is seen as symbol standing up to Fisk’s reign of force, causing the New Yorkers to stand up to Fisk as well. There is also a “blink and you’ll miss it” shot of someone dressed up as Kingpin on TV like some form of caricature of how corrupt he is.

The cast consists of Charlie Cox (Merv, Adults), Margarita Levieva (Task, Cast Away Sorta), Vincent D’Onofrio (Caught Stealing, Godfather of Harlem), Krysten Ritter (Stone Cold Fox, Retreat: A Novel), Matthew Lillard (Cross, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2), Genneya Walton (Dead Sea, Candy Cane Lane), Nikki M. James (Spoiler Alert), Wilson Bethel (Untamed, Etheria Film Night 2024), Deborah Ann Woll (Tales from Woodcreek, Queen of the Ring), Lili Taylor (The Gettysburg Address, The Conjuring: Last Rites), Iván Amaro Bullón (The Rip, The Housemaid), Yorgos Karamihos (Agios Erotas, Malice), Susan Varon (Your Friends & Neighbors, Kaleidoscope), Deidre Lovejoy (Gasbag, Chicago Med), Bartley Booz (The Artist, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere), Raz Ayer (Crying on Command, Intentions), and Elden Henson (Criminal Minds, How to Tie a Noose).

The second season is set to premiere on March 24, 2026. In the mean time you can binge the first season of the series on Disney+ while you wait for the second season.
