Netflix’s “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 2” Set for April 2019 Release

Netflix has released its first trailer for the second half of the popular mid-October series The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. The teaser highlights a release date of April 5, 2019, for the continuation of the series, and continues to redefine that of the Archie Comics story that explores an alternate Sabrina: The Teenage Witch. Grounded in horror, witchcraft, and cultish design, season 1 follows Sabrina Spellman, a 16-year-old destined to join the satanic cult. Premiering just in time for the Halloween season, the success of the series comes as no surprise since it’s so neatly tethered to the CW’s popular Archie Comics series Riverdale.

Details about the show’s continuation have been made publicly known for months, so much so that star Kiernan Shipka spoke with BloodyDisguisting.com about the striking contrast between Season one and Part 2, stating: “We went straight into the second season from the first and it’s been really so exceptionally fun to film, especially given the fact that I feel like we’re already in such a rhythm from coming out of the first season that to jump right into the second one was really, really fun and just a great opportunity to keep the momentum going. We definitely… Sabrina definitely changes and shifts a lot. Her growth is very evident and the second season definitely has a different spin on it than the first season. They’re very different from each other.”

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 2 has cast Alexis Denisof, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame, as Adam Masters, alongside that Jedidiah Goodacre as the mysterious club owner in the town. Season one is currently available to stream on Netflix, offering you a wide gap to catch up on all the sorcery of the series.
