Avatar: The Last Airbender is a series adapted from an anime of the original title. The original cartoon debuted in 2005 and had a resurgence in popularity during the pandemic when it was released on Netflix. The series centers around Aang, a young airbender who is the last of his kind given the task of not only mastering the four elements of Fire, Earth, Water, and Air but also bringing balance to all the nations pertaining to each element. After hibernating for 100 years, Aang returns and begins his journey with his newfound friends Sokka, a warrior, and Katara, a young waterbender from the Water Nation. Upon the three friends teaming up, they fly Aang’s air bison all around the world to ensure that Aang gets the proper training to fulfill his destiny as the Avatar as he stays away from the grasp of Prince Zuko, a firebender who’s on the hunt to capture the Avatar.

Much to the pleasure of hardcore fans, director Jabbar Raisani (Alien Outpostspoke to Deadline saying that there was much more that was filmed during the production of season one that did not make it into the final cut. But, they have learned from this as Raisani believes that he will keep in as much as humanly possible in the upcoming seasons.

“If we get another season, then we will certainly have those things, because I know what we missed now and I know how to do better the second time around,” he said. “The animated series is a really good guide…for where the show can go.”
