According to TVLine sources, the show had Jenny Klein (Daisy & the Six, Supernatural) as showrunner, alongside Jonathan Entwistle (I Am Not Okay With This, The End Of The F****** World). The franchise’s owner, Hasbro Entertainment, is in the process of finding a new creative direction for this show alongside an unknown partner.
TVLine has tried to contact Netflix for comments on the news, but no answer has been reported. Spider-Jin, aka @Jinsakuu on X, was first to post that Netflix was shutting down the series.

Power Rangers is a franchise that has always been iconic to old and new generations alike. According to TVLine, the first series installment was released more than 30 years ago, in 1993, and its name was Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Afterward, many movies and series were released over the years. Most recently, a Power Rangers Dino Fury/Power Rangers Cosmic Fury and a Mighty Morphin reunion special have been made available to stream on Netflix.
According to TVLine, Netflix called Entwistle in October 2020 to oversee the development of two possible Power Rangers projects: a movie and a series. At the time, Entwistle dubbed them the Power Rangers “cinematic universe.”
“Jonathan has an incredible creative vision for this iconic and hugely successful franchise, and is hands down the right architect to join us as we reimagine the television and film worlds of this property,” Michael Lombardo (The Defiant Ones, Dare Me, Our Boys) and Nick Meyer (How It Ends, The Creator, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), the execs of an entertainment company called eOne, shared in an exclusive statement at the time via TVLine.
A few years later, in June 2022, according to TVLine, Klein sealed a two-year deal with eOne to create different types of content and, afterward, be a showrunner for the Power Rangers series.
There is no certain news on the future of this Power Rangers reboot yet.
