Netflix Top 10: ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ Reigns Supreme as No.1, ‘The Crown’ as No.2

Squid Game: The Challenge dominated the Netflix Top 10 charts last week following its Nov.22 debut. According to Variety, for the week of the Nov.20-26 viewing window, the semi-controversial series garnered 20.1 million views on the English TV List during its first five days on the streaming service. This has led viewers to flock to watch the original series, which allowed the original Squid Game to reach 1.6 million views and led the series to be No.6 on the non-English list.

Meanwhile, The Crown season six has stayed at the top half of the English TV list, securing No.2 this week and garnering 8.8 million views. With the views reached this week, it has pushed the total number to 16.2 million views just 11 days after its debut.

Netflix has split the historical series into two parts; in that case, these views are solely based on the first four episodes of the season. Part two of the season, which will have six episodes, is expected to touchdown on Netflix on Dec.14.

The drama series All the Light We Cannot See secured the fourth spot on the list with 3.3 million views during its fourth week on the Top 10 chart, placing the limited series ahead of Matt Rife’s controversial Natural Selection special.

The special reached No.2 on the Netflix Top 10 English TV list earlier. Despite the controversy, the hour-long special reached 2.9 million views this week.

Young Sheldon’s first season has made the list for the very first time following its Nov.24 move to Netflix. During the first three days, the series garnered a whopping 2.1 million views and obtained the No.6 slot on the Top 10 list.

The sitcom only had about 400 thousand more views than the comedy series First Wives Club, a Paramount title (first aired on BET), and held the No.8 slot.

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off debuted with the No.7 slot on the list with 2 million views.

Other mentions on the chart are Cocomelon, with 3.4 million views; Mike Birbiglia: The Old Man and the Pool, with 1.6 million views; and Escaping Twin Flames, which also brought in 1.6 million views.
