The third novel in Quinn’s Bridgerton book series focuses on Benedict Bridgerton, who is the second oldest brother of the Bridgerton family. However, back in May 2022, it was revealed that the series was switching it up by having the third series be based on Quinn’s fourth novel titled Romancing Mister Bridgerton. The premise for this story focuses on Colin Bridgerton, played by Luke Newton (The Lodge, Lake Placid: Legacy), and Penelope Featherington, played by Nicola Coughlan (Derry Girls, Barbie).
When this news was first announced, Coughlan took to Instagram, stating “Like Lady Whistledown I’ve been keeping quite a big secret for quite a long time… but I can finally tell you that @bridgertonnetflix Season Three is Colin and Penelope’s Story.” Her post can be viewed below.

In addition to Dusen, executive producers for the series include Shonda Rhimes (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, Grey’s Anatomy), Betsy Beers (Grey’s Anatomy, Casanova), and Julie Anne Robinson (One for the Money, The Last Song).
Fans can look forward to the return of Bridgerton in 2024.
