According to Deadline, Netflix has revealed the premiere date for the third season of Alice in Borderland, along with a new official teaser trailer. The series based on Haro Aso’s (DEVOTE, Girl XX) manga series of the same name will air on the streamer on September 25.

Via Deadline, Alice In Borderland follows a group of people transported to a parallel universe where they play a series of different games that determine whether they stay alive or not. Following its second season debut in December 2022, the series became Netflix Japan’s most-watched title, even beating anime content, and reached the Top 10 in more than 90 countries.

*Spoilers Ahead* According to Deadline, in the third season of the series Usagi played by Tao Tsuchiya (Orange, Mare) is abducted and left unconscious by a mysterious scholar obsessed with the afterlife, Alice played by Kento Yamazaki (Golden Kamuy, Death Note) returns to the perilous “Borderland” to save her.

As per Deadline, cast of the series also includes Hayato Isomura (Believers, Tokyo Revengers), Ayaka Miyoshi (Knuckle Girl, Dance with Me), Katsuya Maiguma (Be My Master, Up To You), Koji Ohkura (The Monster Within, Ping-Pong), Risa Sudou (Ten Urara, The Last Lawyer), Hiroyuki Ikeuchi (Informa, Great Teacher Onizuka), Tina Tamashiro (The Flowers Love, Hell Girl), Kotaro Daigo (Weathering with You, Ciguatera), Hyunri (Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy, Life as a Girl), Sakura Kiryu (Lonely Castle in the Mirror), Yugo Mikawa (Under Your Bed, Push Pause), Joey Iwanaga (Red Blade, Enter the Fat Drgon), Akana Ikeda (My Dree-Up Darling, What She Like…) and Kento Kaku (House of Ninjas, Testimony of N).

According to Deadline, Yasuko Kuramitsu (Kissing the Ring Finger, Keiji Yugami) and Shinsuke Sato (Kingdom, I Am a Hero) wrote Alice in Borderland. The series is developed and produced by Robot, with production cooperation from The Seven. Akira Morii (Assassination Classroom, Yu Yu Hakusho) and Tomoki Takase (Library Wars, Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead) serve as producers.
