Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming crime thriller series I Will Find You. According to Screen Rant, the eight-episode limited series is based on the bestselling novel by Harlan Coben (Tell No One, Run Away, Caught) and is set to premiere on June 18.
The series stars Sam Worthington (Avatar, Clash of the Titans, Terminator Salvation) as David Burroughs, a man serving a prison sentence after being convicted of murdering his young son. David’s world is turned upside down when his former sister-in-law Rachel Mills, played by Britt Lower (Severance, High Maintenance, Man Seeking Woman), presents him with evidence suggesting that his son may still be alive.
Following the shocking discovery, David embarks on a desperate mission to uncover the truth and reunite with his child. The newly released trailer shows the character escaping from prison while authorities launch a nationwide manhunt in an attempt to capture him before he can uncover what really happened.
Additional cast members include Milo Ventimiglia (This Is Us, Heroes, Gamer), Logan Browning (Bratz, Dear White People, The Perfection), Erin Richards (Gotham, Breaking In, The Crown), Jonathan Tucker (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Hostage, The Ruins), Chi McBride (Gone in 60 Seconds, The Terminal, Hawaii Five-0), Madeleine Stowe (12 Monkeys, The General’s Daughter, Revenge), and Clancy Brown (The Shawshank Redemption, Thor: Ragnarok, John Wick: Chapter 4).
I Will Find You continues Netflix’s longstanding partnership with Coben, whose novels have previously inspired series including Fool Me Once, Missing You, Stay Close, The Stranger, Safe, and The Innocent. Coben serves as an executive producer on the adaptation alongside creator and showrunner Robert Hull (Alcatraz, Gossip Girl, Gotham).
Lower recently earned widespread acclaim for her performance as Helly R. in Apple TV+’s Severance, while Worthington most recently reprised his role as Jake Sully in Avatar: Fire and Ash. The pair now headline Netflix’s latest mystery thriller as David races against time to uncover the truth behind his son’s disappearance.
I Will Find You premieres on June 18 on Netflix.
