Netflix released the trailer of a new LGBTQ+ series, Glamorous, produced by CBS Television Studios. This series was created by Jordan Nardino (Smash, Star Trek: Discovery). It will premiere on June 22nd and consist of ten episodes in total.
Glamorous stars Miss Benny (American Horror Stories, Fuller House), who began as a Youtuber in 2010. On Youtube, Miss Benny made sketches and created music, such as Little Game. Nowadays, Miss Benny continues to create music alongside acting. Their newest EP titled Swelter came out on June 2nd.
In the forthcoming series, Miss Benny plays the main character Marco Mejia. Marco is a young, gender non-conforming individual who stumbles upon a dream job working for Madolyn Addison. Madolyn Addison is a big shot in the makeup industry and is played by Kim Cattrall (Sex and the City, Mannequin).
Madolyn Addison’s brand, called Glamorous by Madolyn is struggling, so she hires Marco to help revitalize it. While doing so, Marco also embarks on a journey of self-discovery and acceptance.

Fans of Kim Cattrall can also look forward to her comeback as Samantha Jones in And Just Like That…, which was announced on June 1st.
Glamorous also stars Graham Parkhurst (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, The Umbrella Academy) as Parker, Zane Phillips (Fire Island, Legacies) as Chad, Ayesha Harris (Daisy Jones & the Six, The L Word: Generation Q) as Britt, Diana-Maria Riva (Telenovela, Gordita Chronicles) as Julia, and Michael Hsu Rosen (Tiny Pretty Things, Pretty Smart) as Ben.
As Rolling Stone notes, the pilot is directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson (Isn’t it Romantic, The Final Girls). The executive producers include Damon Wayans Jr. (Happy Endings, New Girl) and Kameron Tarlow (Grimm, Lazy Susan).
This Pride Month, audiences can look forward to watching this new series and following along on Marco’s journey.
