Netflix describes the show as “Cuddly, cute and curious. These four baby animals love to play, dance and learn new words together.” Originally the streaming service planned for a June 3rd debut but pushed the date for a month later. Word Party is a vocabulary building show that follows four cuddly animals including a panda, elephant, cheetah, and a kangaroo. These four baby animals sing, dance, play, and invite young viewers to help teach the little animals new words and learn new words themselves. Towards the end of the show there’s a celebration of these achievements with a Word Party.
The children’s series uses groundbreaking Henson Digital Puppetry Studio, a proprietary technology from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop that allows puppeteers to perform digitally animated characters in real time which allows the animation to appear more lifelike and spontaneous.
