Netflix Releases Trailer and Sets Premiere Date for Sixth and Final Season of ‘The Crown’

According to Deadline, Netflix has officially announced the premiere dates of sixth and final season of The Crown with a trailer on Monday. The season will be split into two parts, Part One will debut on November 16 and Part Two will debut on December 14.

Cast members returning to The Crown for Part One of season six will include Elizabeth Debicki (Guardians of the Galay Vo. 1, The Burnt Orange Heresey) as Princess Diana, Imelda Staunton (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Finding Your Feet) as Queen Elizabeth II, Dominic West (Punisher: War Zone, The Wire) as Prince Charles, and Jonathan Pryce (Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, What A Girl Wants) as Prince Philip.

Lesley Manville (Mrs, Harris Goes to Paris, Citadel) as Princess Margaret, Khalid Abdalla (In the Last Days of the City, The Narrow Frame of Midnight) as Dodi Fayed, and Salim Daw (Let It Be Morning, Kiss Me Kosher) as Mohamed Al Fayed will return to the series as well.

The season will also feature Rufus Kampa (The Crown) as young Prince William, Fflyn Edwards (Save the Cinema, Shadow and Bone) as young Prince Harry, Ed McVey (The Crown) as Prince William, Luther Ford (Dream Between, Woods) as Prince Harry, and Meg Bellamy (The Prince of Savile Row, The Crown) as Kate Middleton for the first time.

Part Two will consist of six episodes and follows Prince William as he attempts integrate into life at Eton after the death of his mother. The Queen ponders about the future of the monarchy as Charles and Camilla marry and William and Kate begin their Royal fairytale romance.

The Crown premiered on Netflix on November 4, 2016. The series has received 69 Emmy nominates and has won 21 Emmy awards, including Best Drama for four seasons. It has also received 15 BAFTA nominations as well as 10 Golden Globe nominations and four Golden Globe awards.
