Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming third season of The Umbrella Academy ahead of its June premiere, according to The Verge. The series, which premiered in 2019, followed the lives of six members of the Hargreeves family who possessed divergent personalities and special abilities that ultimately helped them team up to fight against a global apocalypse.
In the show’s sophomore season, the siblings time travelled in order to prevent a future apocalypse, but failed to set every aspect of the past to align with their present and future. The third season will detail how the Hargreeves attempt to fix the timeline after they travelled to an alternative reality where they were never found by their adoptive father Sir Reginald, played by Colm Feore (Bon Cop, Bad Cop).
The series stars Tom Hopper (Black Sails), Robert Sheehan (Misfits), Emmy Raver-Lampman (Blacklight), Aidan Gallagher (Ghost Witch), Elliot Page (Juno) and David Castañeda (We Die Young). The newly-released trailer shows how each character is slated to change, grow and develop throughout the upcoming season.
Season three of The Umbrella Academy will be available to stream on Netflix on June 22.
