

According to Deadline, Jack Henry Robbins (Serfs Up, Kindred Spirit) and 20th Century Television will be teaming up and developing a new comedy series that will be streaming on Hulu. Nepo Baby will be based off of Robbin’s character that went viral on various social media platforms.
Deadline mentions that Robbins created Nepo Baby and hopes that it will grow into something big. Robbins is no stranger to fame, born to famous parents Susan Sarandon (The Six Triple Eight, Gracie and Pedro: Pets to the Rescue) and Tim Robbins (You Were Never Really Here, Life of Crime). The character, Nepo Baby is based on Robbins alter Ego. The character is based on an alter ego of Robbins, which recently blew up via a feature story in The New York Times.
According to Deadline, Peter Principato (Hit and Run, Key and Peele) will serve as executive producer along with Bryan Walsh (City of Ghosts, The Offering)and Casey Neumeier (VHYes, Central Intelligence) at Artists First. Sam Zvibleman (Pents, The Neddeaus) will EP as well as direct the series.
According to Deadline, Robbins previously directed VHYes, which premiered at Fantastic Fest in 2020. The story follows a 12-year-old boy named Ralph who accidentally records footage over his parents’ wedding VHS tape. The film was shot entirely on VHS, giving it a retro feel. The cast included Kerri Kenney (Reno 911, The State), Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!: Miami, American Dad), and Mark Porksch (Better Call Saul, The Office).
Deadline reports that Robbins premiered two short films at the Sundance Film Festival: Painting with Joan and Hot Winter. His TV roots began with the Comedy Central-produced Ultimate Ulimate. Robbins has also been credited as a segment director for Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
According to Deadline, Robbins signed with Verve. He continues to be represented by Artists First as well as Breheen Feldman Breimer.
